My first time going to the hospital in Japan: Saiseikai Hospital
I recently had my first experience going to the hospital in Japan. I was a little nervous, but I was also excited to see how different it would be from going to the doctor in my home country.
The hospital I went to was Saiseikai Hospital, the biggest hospital in the city. It was huge! I was a little overwhelmed at first, but I was able to find my way around pretty easily.
One of the first things I noticed was that everything was in Japanese. I don’t speak Japanese very well, so I was a little worried about how I would communicate with the staff. But everyone was very patient and helpful. They translated for me as needed, and they made sure that I understood everything that was going on.
Another thing I noticed was that I could choose my own doctor. This was new to me, because in my home country, you are usually assigned a doctor. I was able to read about different doctors and choose one who I thought would be a good fit for me.
I was also impressed by the excellent service at Saiseikai Hospital. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and they took the time to explain everything to me in detail. I never felt rushed or lost.
One thing that I found different was that there are color lines in the hospital. These lines help you to find your way to the different rooms. I thought this was a very clever idea, and it made it very easy for me to find my way around.
Another thing that I found different was that the doctors are called “sensei” in Japan. This means “teacher” in Japanese. I was used to calling my doctors “doctor,” but I didn’t mind calling them “sensei.” It was a sign of respect.
Overall, I had a very positive experience at Saiseikai Hospital. The staff was professional and helpful, the service was excellent, and the cost was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone living or working in Japan.
